Experience, motivation and vision have brought me to my current evolution – as  entrepreneur, inventor, creator, father and president of Soloway Innovations LLC. The company focus is on development of new products and community projects that continue to support global health and local community services.  
My journey began in New York as the youngest of four siblings with an artist/nurse mother and a family doctor father. My childhood was difficult at home and school. It was early on that I began to master the power of determination in order to achieve. It was that focus that supported graduating from University of Denver, Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in history and speech communication in 1969.

Returning to New York after graduation, I set out to refine my talents in product sales and marketing, communication and organizational precision which have been the basis of my lengthy work resume as a business owner, director and sales rep for the last 45 years. This includes serving as the President of Orion Nova Unlimited, New York, NY. I represented international manufacturers of ceramic tile, rattan furniture, wallpaper and upholstery to the architectural, building and design community in the Northeast states from Boston south to Baltimore. As a lifelong student of nutrition, I also worked within several health food centers, completed bodywork training, studied homeopathy and healing through diet and acupuncture. It was at this time I met my future wife. We decided to move to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1989 where we wanted to open our first Sunflower Natural Foods Supermarket. This was before the expansion of Whole Foods and Wild Oats in the late 1980’s. Although this dream of opening a natural foods supermarket was ultimately unsuccessful, I continued to work and learn about the health food industry while never losing sight of my dream for innovation through science and health. 

Once established in Santa Fe, I opened Soloway & Associates Inc. in 1992, beginning a 30 year professional property inspection business servicing clients in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Clients included buyers, sellers, realtors and expanded to attorneys, banks and mortgage companies. I watched business grow and change along with new technology and a booming housing market. I learned to start a business and how to continue and compete in the inspection market.

As of May, 2022, I now live in Wilmington, NC. My values – trust, dependability, precision and thoroughness are the cornerstones of our organization. Our current venture includes a revolutionary patented nano-fiber filtering technology. We are also working toward two commercial restaurant projects in Wilmington that center around a collaborative, communal, innovation space to inspire new ideas and directions going forward. 

With my personal wellness journey and experience in health food and business, I have fully realized the need for wholesome options that serve our local community, to inspire new ideas, and pave a new way forward.
